Upon joining the Shed, members agree to the terms and conditions of membership. From time to time these may be updated, so it is the responsibility of all members to check that they are still in agreement with the current T&Cs, a copy of which is shown below.
Membership
I understand that once notified that my application for membership of W&DMS has been approved, failure to pay the subscription requested within 15 days of the date of notification could result in the offer of membership being withdrawn.
A lack of participation suggests that a member is gaining no benefit from their membership. I understand that prolonged failure to participate in Shed activities could place my membership in jeopardy.
Safety
I understand that participation in Shed activities of the Shed will be at my own risk. I confirm that I will comply with the Shed’s current Health and Safety policy and I will wear any personal protective equipment deemed necessary. I will follow the instructions for the safe use of any equipment I use and I will act responsibly to ensure my own safety and that of others.
Health
I understand that I must disclose details about my health that might affect me in carrying out any of the activities in W&DMS. I understand that the Shed is not responsible for giving medical assistance or organising carers or medical support beyond seeking emergency help or referring me to professional services if they deem me to be at risk.
Privacy
I consent to the collection and use of my personal information for the purposes of my membership of W&DMS and for communicating information to members.
I understand that from time to time photographs and videos may be taken within the Shed. I consent to their use by W&DMS in publications, newsletters and in the media to highlight the work of Men’s Sheds.
