Workshop Machines
If they wish to make use of the workshop facilities, new members are taken through a familiarisation process covering the larger machine tools. For each machine, this process starts by watching a video demonstrating the safe use of the machine before going on to actually use it under the guidance of one of our workshop supervisors.

Pen Making on a Lathe
Under the guidance of experienced wood-turners, turning either wood or acrylic resin to form the barrel of a pen has proved to be a very popular introductory activity to lathe work.
